Brochure Surolan otic solution

Indications: it is used in dogs and cats in the treatment of otitis externa and dermatitis caused by :

• fungi (microsporum spp, trichophyton spp, candida spp, massezia pachydermatis)
• gram-positive bacteria (staphylococcus spp, streptococcus spp)
• gram-negative bacteria (pseudomonas spp, eschrichia coli)

Presentation: Surolan is a suspension containing :

• miconazole nitrate 23 mg/ml
• polmixin B sulphate 5500 IU (0.696 mg / ml)
• prednisolone acetate 5 mg/ml

Contraindications :

•     Not for use in animals with perforated eardrums as polymyxin B has ototoxic effect.
•     Can also be used in pregnant and lactating animals.

Dosage and administration :

• For external otitis :

    After performing ear toilet apply 3-5 drops of Surolan otic solution in the ear 2 times/day
    To ensure proper penetration, massage the ear at the base.

• For dermatitis:

    Apply Surolan to the affected area by bandaging 2 times daily.
